The Carteret County NC Animal Shelter is a not-for-profit facility that takes in all stray and owner surrender animals for the entire county of Carteret. For residents of the county, there is no fee for drop off's and we work tirelessly with local and out of state rescue groups in an effort to find all animals new homes. We also adopt our animals to the general public. |

 Athena is HOME!!!! : Athenas parents are worried sick! Athena is about 11mos old, Black & Tan German Shepard with white hair going down her back with a burnt orange colored collar with ID on it. She is missing from the Pine Knoll Shores area since 1/20/11.
Please help us get Athena back home!

Athena was found in another city without he collar on! We are soooo happy she was found safe and is now home with her people and 8month old..... where she belongs! |

 Found M Lab mix : A Male yellow/white Lab mix was found on 1/21/11 in the Swansboro/ Cedar Point area. He is wearing a red collar but no forms of ID.

 Found Border Collix : There was a Female White/ Black Border Collie mix found by the Bojangles in Newport on Friday the 21st. The description given was that she is smaller than the average BC; 35-40Lbs; very sweet; mostly white with the black mask and a large black spot on her side.
If you or anyone you know is missing one please call us so we can get her home! |

| Lost Cocker Spaniel~ Black : "Black" is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel; mostly black, some sunburnt markings as well as a white patch on chest resembeling an anchor. He is not neutered; so could be looking for females in heat. He is wearing a blue collar but no tags. He is shaggy ( ungroomed); he has a cherry eye as well.
He was last seen Jan 13 @ 6am; this dog never leaves his yard so there was possibly a female in heat or someone stole him out of the yard. He is missing from Patch Dr Behind Gardners farm in Newport. He used to live at Dutvh Treat MHP so it is possible he wandered that way as well.
If you have any information on Black please let us know so we can return him to his family. |
